“For me, meeting people is the most important driving force”

Being part of people’s development and change is a source of energy and inspiration for me. I am firmly convinced that everyone is willing and able develop, and wants to work in a successful environment where they can make a difference.

Creating the opportunities to do this is one of the key factors in leadership; our own leadership, our immediate boss’s leadership and the organisation’s leadership. Another key factor is values. Clear, accessible, living values create a strong foundation for everyone to work from. Living our values creates involvement, a sense of community and ultimately better results.

I like to laugh and for the most part I am a positive, uncomplicated and down-to-earth person who enjoys the company of others. On the other hand, I am also content with my own company and sometimes need to be alone to recharge my batteries. My family, my wife and two grown-up children are my rock and an important source of energy.

Gaia Leadership stands for a belief in every human being’s innate power, which fits well with my own experience and my outlook. Gaia also has strong, living values that I share both in my work with customers and at Gaia.

Over the course of 25 years with a major international group I have seen all kinds of leadership. I have been responsible for customers and have worked as a manager and a specialist, and have seen opportunities and challenges from all angles. I have been a development and leadership consultant for a long time; in doing so, I have really been able to contribute towards making a difference and have been part of a very successful value process from the very beginning.
I am passionate about these issues, and thanks to the opportunity to work with all of Gaia’s experienced, positive consultants I will continue to develop in my role as a consultant while also being part of a broader context within a highly successful environment. This is fully in line with my convictions.
