“I know what is required to really achieve change”
Between 2000 and 2004, I was Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, Sweden’s largest government agency. During my time as Supreme Commander, I initiated the largest restructuring programme within the Armed Forces in modern times – a transition from an armed force against invasion to an operational defence force.
I have not only acquired experience of the problems and risks associated with change processes but also know what working methods and tools are required to really achieve change. Analysis of political governance and the interplay between agency and the government is especially important.
I have had the privilege of working internationally at the UN, EU, NATO and have lived and worked in thirty or so countries. During 2001, I was chair of the Military Committee of the European Union – consisting of all Member State Chiefs of Defence. I am hence well up to speed with how the EU works and is led.
In 2004, I took another step in my development by becoming a leadership consultant. I now spend most of my time working with change leadership, leader and leadership development and the coaching and mentorship of leaders on different levels. I have completed the Psykosyntesakademin (Academy of Psychosynthesis) two-year undergraduate programme and have an International Coach Federation PCC level coaching qualification.
